French Toast with Smoky Tempeh Rashers
French Toast with Smoky Tempeh Rashers is bound to become your new favourite breakfast. Sweet and smoky, this special toast is perfect for those slow weekend mornings.

ingredients
- 1 pack Better Nature’s Smoky Tempeh Rashers
- 4-6 slices bread (can be slightly stale)
- 1 cup gram flour
- ¾ cup sweetened plant milk
- ½ cup maple syrup or preferred syrup
- Handful blueberries
- Pinch salt
instructions
- Make your batter, by slowly adding the milk into the gram flour, whisking whilst adding the milk.
- Add in the salt and pour the mixture into a deep plate or dish.
- Grab your stale bread and dip the bread into the batter covering both sides of the bread.
- Fry the slices on a pan with a little oil for 2 minutes on both sides.
- Repeat this for all slices of bread.
- Cook the rashers on a griddle pan so they go crispy on both sides.
- To assemble, put the french toast on a plate, load with the rashers, blueberries and pour over the syrup.
- Enjoy!
