Tempeh Maki Rolls

A flavourful tempeh maki rolls very easy and quick to make with Better Nature BBQ strips

ingredients

  • 1 pack of Better Nature BBQ tempeh strips 
  • 200g Sushi (or short grain) rice
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • White sugar 
  • Salt 
  • 3-4 nori sheets
  • Veggies of your choice, we used carrots, spring onion and pepper

instructions

  1. Cook and cool your sushi rice. Season the rice with rice vinegar, a pinch of white sugar, and salt. 
  2. Place your nori sheet on a board, spread a layer of rice onto half the nori sheet. Place on top your veggies and your tempeh. 
  3. Roll tightly, leave for a few minutes to set.
  4. Then cut into bite-sized pieces using a serrated knife.
  5. Enjoy with dipping sauce of your choice! We recommend soy sauce, teriyaki, or sweet chilli sauce.
