Smoky Tempeh Mac

This comforting Smoky Tempeh Mac is super easy and quick to make - the perfect dinner for a night-in.

ingredients

  • 1 pack of Better Nature Smoky Tempeh Rashers 
  • 1 block vegan cheese
  • 250g macaroni (we used GF)
  • ½ cup nutritional yeast
  • ½ tbsp garlic
  • 1 tbsp onion granules
  • ⅔ cup unsweetened plant milk
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

instructions

  1. Cook your pasta in boiling water.
  2. In the meantime, cut the rashers into small pieces or lardons. Fry the rashers in a little oil until crispy. 
  3. In a saucepan, cook the plant milk, seasoning and nutritional yeast and melt in the vegan cheese. Your sauce should go gooey and melty. 
  4. When the pasta is cooked and drained, pour in the sauce and most of the rashers, leaving some aside to add on top of your mac later.
  5. Plate up, top with fresh herbs and the leftover crispy rashers.
